For RS, TS, MS models
Q1 . Turn the System Switch to Off, lift the robot from its front area and check if there is any visible reason that is causing the loud sound.
Possible reasons are:
- Debris stuck in the mowing deck
- Bent blade
- Mulches built up between mowing deck and blades.
- Rotate the blade (using long stick, or gloves). See the image to the right.
Were any of the above reasons found in the robot?
If Yes – Clean / Remove / Replace the object that caused the noises.
If No - Proceed to Q2.
Q2 . Press the Bumper a few times from various directions. Can noises be heard from the Bumper?
If Yes – The robot needs to be taken to an Authorized Dealer Shop, to spray lubricant spray on the bumper springs. See the image to the right.
If No – Proceed to Q3.
Q3 . Turn both drive wheels manually. Can loud noises be heard from one of them?
If Yes – Replace the noisy Drive Motor.
If No – Proceed to Q4.
Q4 . Rotate the front wheel on its axle and against the robot’s chassis. See the image to the right.
Can it turn and rotate freely?
(do it with a Front Wheel in its inner position and not its outer position, like when the robot is on the ground).
If Yes – Proceed to Q5.
If No – Try to release the wheel (debris or mulches that are preventing the wheel from rotating freely).
If this cannot be released, the robot needs to be taken to an Authorized Service Station for repair.
Q5 . Place the robot inside the lawn and send it back to base (Mow motor is not working). Can loud noises be heard from the robot?
If Yes – Create a short video (via your smart Phone, or a digital camera), and send it to the Hotline agent that either answered your call or sent an email to you with this information.
If No – Proceed to Q6.
Q6 . Send the robot to mow (Mow Motors are working). Can loud noises be heard from the robot?
If Yes – Remove the LEFT blade (watch the video), then send the robot to mow again. Proceed to Q7.
If No – Let the robot complete the next few operations to understand if the problem was sporadic or recurrent.
Q7 . Were the loud noises reduced?
If Yes – Replace the LEFT mowing blade and run the robot to observe if the noises are gone. If the noises are still being heard, replace the LEFT mow motor.
If No – Put the LEFT blade back on the motor pinion, and remove the RIGHT blade (do this with care as instructed in the Operating and Safety manual), then send the robot to mow again. Proceed to Q8.
Q8 . Were the loud noises reduced?
If Yes – Replace the RIGHT mowing blade and run the robot to observe if the noises are gone. If the noises are still being heard, replace the RIGHT Mow Motor.
If No – Proceed to Q9.
Q9 . If the robot is still noisy, it needs to be taken to an Authorized Service Station for repair.
