Typically, this can happen in cases there are a few operations set per day and the RT’s base station, for some reason, is not installed on the largest main zone. This will make the RT drive on the wire from the base to the main zone a few times per day and can create wheels tracks. The solution here will be to move the bse station to the main zone.
It could also mean the RT is dragging on the grass with heavy friction rather than rolling on it smoothly. Check if rear wheel is clogged and stuck.
- Turn mower off and remove its disabling device. Put on heavy gloves. Inspect all wheels for stuck or accumulated mulch, vines, rope, toys etc., anything that can clog the wheels. Rotate each drive wheel as well as the rear wheel (drive wheels have a certain resistance due their gear and rear wheel should rotate freely). Clear any blockage and make sure wheels now rotate freely and let the mower mow for a week. In wheels still do not rotate smoothly .
- Make sure the drive wheels are not muddy or clogged with mud. If they are, this could also leave tracks on the grass that look like damage even though it isn’t.
