We want you to go only through the relevant steps to your case, thus it is required to perform a short test before starting to follow the instructions below.
Docking Test: Place the mower about 3 meters before the Base Station and select the option ‘Go to Base’.
Go to Base in C models:
Press 'Home' button.
Go to Base in S models:
Press 'GO' button and choose the house icon by scrolling with the arrows, press 'GO' to confirm.
The mower will drive on the wire centered. Follow the mower and check how it enters the Base Station.
If it fails to dock properly the ‘Docking Test = Fail’ and if it docks smoothly without any problem the ‘Docking Test = Pass’.
It is recommended to repeat this test 3 times to make sure that the robot's behavior is consistent.

1. Cause - Height difference at the entrance to the station.
Solution - Fill some ground to flatten the lawn to the Base Station to allow smooth entrance.
2. Cause – Mud, dirt or leaves stuck to the robot Front Wheel, which raise the front of the robot and prevent from entering the Base Station contacts.
Solution - Clean the Front Wheel and make sure it is free to turn on its axis.
3. Cause (on wire setup) - The Base Station is placed too close to the corner of the lawn or on a curved line.
Solution – Move the Base Station so it is not within 3 meters after a corner and 30cm before a corner. Make sure the Base Station is placed along relatively straight part of the edge and not on a curve.
4. Cause (At corner setup) - The robot is not aligned with the charging contact while entering the Base Station.
Solution – Make sure the wire and Base Station are set according to the measurements shown in the drawing to the right. Watch the animation showing the way to setup a Base Station at a corner. Make sure the Base Station is placed in a small shift to the right, in order to allow smooth entry of the mower to the Base Station.
5. Cause (External setup) - The robot fail to enter the passage leads towards the Base Station.
Solution - Confirm the path between the lawn and the outside area is smooth with no height difference, so Robomow will not get stuck and will follow the wire smoothly.
6. Cause (External setup) - The robot slips and gets stuck on the way from the lawn to the Base Station.
Solution - Confirm the surface between the lawn and the Base Station should be hard (such as a sidewalk or rigid ground) and not sandy or stony, so Robomow will not slip or get stuck on it.
7. Cause (External setup) - The robot drives along the passage leading to the Base Station, but does not enter aligned against the charging pins.
Solution - Make sure the wire and Base Station are set according to the measurements shown in the drawing to the right. Watch the animation showing the way to setup a Base Station at a corner. Make sure the Base Station is placed in a small shift to the right, in order to allow smooth entry of the mower to the Base Station
8. Cause - Base Station is placed on a side slope and not on a relatively flat area.
Solution - Move the Base Station to a relatively level ground.
9. Cause - The wire underneath the Base Station is not tight and placed in the middle of the Station.
Solution – Confirm the wire underneath the Base Station is straight, tight and centered below the Base Station.
10. Cause – Obstacles, Perimeter Island or narrow areas close to the lawn edge prevent the mower to complete the drive along the wire in ‘Near wire follow’ mode towards the Base Station.
Solution – Adjust the installation or change the Base Station location to prevent this problem.
11. Cause – Robot detects the Base Station using the Bluetooth (at point A) although it is not found before the entering to the station (see example in the below drawing). This may cause the mower to start following the wire cantered towards a sub-zone and then it fails to reach the station as it drives in ‘Near Wire Follow’ mode inside the sub-zone.
Solution – Change the location of the Base Station so it will not be close to the narrow passage that leads to another zone of the lawn.
12 . Cause – The mower works at sub-zone while the ‘Near wire follow’ mode is set to ‘On’ but the passage/area connecting the Sub-zone with the Main Zone is too narrow and does not allow the robot to cross between them at the end of the operation.
Solution – Set the ‘Near wire follow’ mode to ‘Off’ for the Sub-zone or reduce the max ‘Near wire follow distance’ for the Sub-zone, so it will enable the mower to pass between the zones.
13. Cause – The robot is not completely aligned with the charging contacts while reaching the Base Station.
Solution – If the Base Station does not have the mechanical guidance leads the robot into the charging contacts, please contact one of the service providers and asked about it (Part Number SPP7019A).
14. Cause (C models) – The robot passes near the Base Station in ‘Near wire follow’ mode and does not recognize the Base Station. It is possible that there is no Bluetooth communication between the mower and the Base Station.
Solution –
Q1. Start by checking BLE communication between a Smartphone and the robot.
Download the below applications from iTunes or the Google Play Store.
For IOS :
download the “Light Blue” app, as shown in the image below.
For Android :
download the “nRF UART v2.0” app, as shown in the image below.
If the BLE on the robot works well, the robot will be seen in the application as Moxxxx (where the xxxx is the last 4 robot’s S/N digits). If for instance the robot’s S/N is RC14131580004, expect to see “Mo0004”.
If the robot is seen in the list, proceed to Q2.
If No – make sure the Bluetooth is set to 'On' via the Service by pressing home + settings buttons for 3 seconds (Requires receiving a temporary code from Hotline agent) enter P264 screen. Set P260 & P261 to YES and press the 'OK' button to confirm. Reset the robot by pressing the 'OK' button for 3 seconds. Check again if the robot is seen in the list according to Q1. If not, the Main Board should be replaced.
Q2. Check the BLE communication between the robot and the Base Station.
- Place the robot in a radius of within 1m from the Base Station.
- Open the Service menu by pressing home + settings buttons for 3 seconds (requires receiving a temporary code from Hotline agent) enter P255. Choose “BASE" and press 'OK' to confirm.
PASS or FAILED will be displayed.
Passed - Proceed to Q3.
Failed - Replace the MBLE card on the Base Station.
Q3. Check the BLE communication via the Service menu by pressing home + settings buttons for 3 seconds, enter P404.
If the test is successful - beeping sounds will be heard and on the screen a ”0002” will appear.
If the test fails - no beeping sounds will be heard and “0000” will appear on the screen. Replace the MBLE card on the Base Station.
